About Me:
After graduating from the St. louis Institute of Music and a brief stint of teaching, Ken Palmer left St. Louis to study organ performance with organist Herbert Manfred Hoffmann at Frankfurt Germany. During his three year stay, he performed organ recitals, sang and recorded with the Frankfurter Kantatenkreis and performed with members of the the Hessicher Rundfunk Orchester. He financed his studies by tours through Germany , France and Spain as music director for the Gisela gunther and Heinz Schneider Agencies. He returned to his home in St. louis and joined the St. Louis Jazz Quartet. After appearances with the quartet in concert with the St. louis Symphony Orchestra, he was invited back on many occasions to appear as guest pianist with the orchestra under such conductors as Walter Susskind , Henry mancini, Richard Hayman and Leonard Slatkin to name a few. He holds bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in composition and organ performance from the former St. Louis Institute of Music and Washington University ( St. Louis). He composes, concertizes, and records in the the St. Louis Area.

Ken I didn't. I've had a relationship with Mel Bay Publications for a few years and knew Stephen through them. I know it's a big town but on some level thought you might know him through music circles there - probably a bit simple minded of me.

Ken I just 'friended' you as just realized you from in St. Louis. Do you know Stephen Rekas by chance he used to be a music editor at MB? I'm published by MB and Stephen though no longer at MB is a good friend. Look forward to your contributions on the weekly thread. Jim

I down loaded 3 scores of your piano works. Very nice and well crafted. I loved the left hand accompaniments and the careful use of poly chords (very careful dissonant spice).
Upon hearing them - nice and direct and straight forward! Cured my eardrums.

Ken,
Since the sinking of the Titanic, your silence has been deafening! My eardrums hurt.
